North of Richmond in the Quagmire of Woke Fairfax County
Where the echoes of our Founding Fathers demand individual liberty, The 53rd Regiment and our Editorial Board, stands resolute endorsing Winsome Earl-Sears. As a proud assembly of U.S. Army veterans, Christians, and unyielding patriots committed to the US Constitution, we endorse Winsome Earle-Sears for Governor of Virginia.
Born in Jamaica and forged in the fires of the US Marine Corps, Winsome embodies the unbreakable spirit of the US immigrant turned warrior. Her platform isn’t mere rhetoric—it’s a blueprint for reclaiming Virginia’s promise of liberty, prosperity, and moral clarity. Today, we highlight three pillars of her vision: abolishing the car tax, safeguarding parental rights in schools, and championing the right to life. Winsome’s bold pledge to axe the car tax strikes at the heart of government overreach and relentless punishment by Democrats that punish hard workers Virginians for owning property, their car. This “unfair” tax, a local burden that punishes  the simple act of mobility, drains families of thousands of dollars annually—funds better spent on groceries, education, healthcare or savings. As Lieutenant Governor, Winsome has scrutinized state ledgers, amassing surpluses in rainy-day funds while fully investing in schools and infrastructure. Her “Axe the Tax” initiative extends relief to tipped wages too, leveraging Virginia’s robust economy to return power to the people. No longer should bureaucrats in Richmond dictate how families navigate their daily grind.
Winsome, a fiscal Marine, vows to slash wasteful spending and regulations, ensuring taxpayers—not politicians—drive growth. This isn’t a gimmick; it’s economic emancipation, stirring jobs and innovation from the Shenandoah Valley to the Tidewater shores.Equally vital is Winsome’s fierce defense of parental rights in education. In an era where ideologues seek to co-opt classrooms and allow boys to play in girls sports, she declares: “Parents are their child’s first teachers—I do not co-parent with the government.” Drawing from her service on the Virginia State Board of Education, Winsome empowers families to escape failing schools via school choice, vouchers, and charter expansions. Low-income parents deserve the state per-pupil funding to access private options for learning, breaking the zip-code lottery that traps children in underperformance. Her opposition to Arlington’s, Fairfax and Loudon Counties transgender bathroom policies underscores a commitment to safety and biological truth over “ideological grandstanding.” As Governor, she’ll prioritize reading and math mastery, restoring trust in schools as engines of opportunity, not indoctrination.
Finally, Winsome’s unwavering pro-life stance aligns with our Christian values and the sanctity of all human dignity. A speaker at the Virginia March for Life, she supports current laws mandating parental consent for minors and limiting third-trimester procedures to life-threatening cases, while decrying the radical left’s assault on the unborn. Her past remarks, though sharp, stem from a profound conviction: every life is a divine spark worth defending, from womb to battlefield. While Democrats push moral relativism, Winsome will protect the vulnerable, echoing the Constitution’s nod to natural rights.
The 53rd Regiment firmly opposes Abigail Spanberger for Governor of Virginia, as her policies betray the values of liberty, family, and fairness that Virginians hold dear. Spanberger supports tax hikes, including endorsing burdensome federal and state revenue schemes that strain working families, contrasting sharply with Winsome Earle-Sears’ pledge to abolish the car tax. Her unwavering advocacy for abortion through birth, aligning with radical late-term policies, disregards the sanctity of life, a stance antithetical to our Catholic ethos and Virginia’s moral fabric. Furthermore, Spanberger’s backing of policies allowing biological males in girls’ sports undermines fairness and safety, ignoring the concerns of parents and athletes. Most alarmingly, her support for concealing transgender issues from parents—prioritizing ideological agendas over family rights—strips parents of their fundamental role as their children’s guardians. Virginians deserve better than Spanberger’s out-of-touch, government-centric approach.
The 53rd Regiment has marched through wars and watched empires crumble under tyranny’s weight. We see in Winsome a leader who will secure family Values, bolster law enforcement, and cut taxes to unleash Virginia’s full potential. Unlike Spanberger’s beholden to Washington chaos and failed leftist policies and indoctrination, Windsome offers principled resolve.
Virginians, join us: Vote Winsome Earle-Sears on November 4, 2025. For liberty. For life. For the Old Dominion’s enduring glory. Keep Virginia winning with Windsome!
