On the occasion of the tenth anniversary of The 53rd Regiment, a unique content provider in conservative opinion, I offer sincere congrats to Guardian Six, purveyor of this great web property. It really is no coincidence that this anniversary coincides with America 250.
I have been lucky to part of this effort since the beginning and as such, I offer my thoughts on where we stand here in 2026. Fellow patriots, we are NOT done BEING HEARD!!
One year into Trump’s historic 2nd term, it is time to take stock. Much has been done with much more to do, but distractions are everywhere.
Here is the to do list, truly the things that are not done, which we need to get serious about.
The long list of executive orders issued by the president can be reversed. They need to codified into law. Senator Thune: Kill the Filibuster before the democrats do. Start with the SAVE Act and move on to prevention of election fraud.
Marxist propaganda, spread by the usual suspects, is being used to undo progress on deportations. Combatting these communists in kind must be addressed. The propaganda is particularly effective with moderates who reluctantly voted for trump.
Marxists are finally out in the open, as we knew they eventually would be, promoted by the DNC. They need to be confronted and defeated. The GOP is not up to this. An urban GOP strategy must be developed and implemented quickly, with candidates cultivated.
Retaining gains in Latino, Black and other demographics needs to be prioritized. Trump has shouldered all the progress himself and will now need assistance from the full GOP to maintain these important groups of patriots.
The economy is poised to boom. If SCOTUS scuttles the current tariffs, Trump will begin new ones. The border is closed. Part of our issue is the speed with which progress was made. Trump speed. In today’s news cycle the border fix is almost old news. As the economy takes off, the right kind of marketing needs to be done.
Foreign policy has been ambitiously overhauled. Multiple peace accords are complete, but there is unfinished business in Ukraine and Israel. These situations need to be nailed down. A Ukraine solution is now overdue, especially judging by Trump speed standards. A Cuba transformation could be great, but not if troops are involved.
Dents have been made in changing the leftism of our major institutions and some, like USAID, have been shut down. We haven’t even scratched the surface unfortunately. The US education system is still a Marxist infiltrated mess. We need to get serious. Congress needs to do its part.
Hegseth has done admirable work disinfecting the military of leftism; he now needs to hit the accelerator on modernization, leapfrogging all of our adversaries.
Reactivate DOGE times ten. Find the next Elon, set the process in place, get another 500K employees out of the government. Use AI, automation and modernization. Congress needs to make it all permanent.
Continue the journey toward eliminating income taxes via global trade and tarrifs. Consider tying the permanent fix of social security to tarrifs.
Follow through on the threats to cut off sponsors of sanctuary cities from federal funding.
Begin the effort to eliminate ghettos and bombed out sections of our US cities. A national rebuilding effort tied to excellent schools and policing should be rolled out. Sanctuary cities ineligible. National Renewal.
Nuclear power is not happening fast enough. More, better, cheaper power is needed.
Don’t get distracted with anything that does not further these aims. I wont list all of the distractions, but it’s fair to say some of them are dividing us. Time to look ahead. Midterms are serious business.
These are but a few thoughts – its time to look over the fence into MAGA 3.0. The golden Age is only getting started.
