Interview: Blackjack Pershing – American Patriot

1. Blackjack, millions of readers across the globe have enjoyed your essays and commentary now for nearly a decade. What do you credit for your keen insight and analysis, and ability to breakdown issues so the average reader can quickly comprehend?

First off thanks for the opportunity to do this chat and to share it with members of 53rd Nation!  This website is a difference maker for patriots who want to ‘BE HEARD’.  I’m proud to be part of this team.  We cover a myriad of topics from politics to UFO’s – it’s rewarding and entertaining.

I do my best and if there is credit to be given it’s to my parents – a dad who was proudly trained in Latin, Logic, Philosophy and many other disciplines and a highly intelligent, well read mother with great sense of humor.

I write when I am moved to, instead of trying to keep a schedule, so when I do put something out there, it’s usually something I have been thinking about for some time.

2. Why do you go by Blackjack Pershing? Is there a linkage to your time in the Army?

John J Pershing is an under appreciated General historically speaking – his rank, ‘General of the Armies’ was the equivalent of 6 stars and hasn’t been awarded to anyone since.  He was from my state, Missouri, and his time in the army bridged from the late 19th into the 20th century.  He laid the ground work for the modern military in organizationally and strategically as he prepared the military to fight WW1.  He was an advisor to presidents until his passing.

I served proudly in the US Army in a weapons system named for him; the painting by George Finley on my twitter banner is the Pershing II Missile system.


3. What formed you as a person?

The parents mentioned above made sure I got a Catholic foundation – in faith and education.  I won’t name the schools I attended here but I was fortunate to go to several great Catholic institutions that reinforced and enlightened my character and beliefs.

It is sad that the Catholic Intellectual Tradition is not offered to more people who could benefit.  Statistically we know that those exposed to it are more successful in life, have longer more stable marriages and personal lives, and tend to give more to charity.

I’d be remiss in not mentioning my time in the Army as being critical to my own formation – in terms of leadership development, character development, physical fitness and a thousand other things – the Army is a huge part of who I am – I realize it more the older I get.

 4. Many of your writings take on the issues of the day. Politics, sports, American culture and business. More and more in American society these areas of interest overlap. How do you assess the political landscape? Is American culture being eroded and if so, how and why?

The leftists who have corrupted the democrat party are the root cause of most societal ills.  Are there bad conservatives too?  Sure.  However, for clarity, you could say that not all democrats are extreme leftists, but most extreme leftist are democrats.

I do see an overall convergence of institutional decay across most sectors of society – as you mention, sports, law enforcement, politics, government agencies, etc.

Where does it come from?  We have covered it here in 53rd quite well.  Leftists ruin everything like locusts.  They’ve infiltrated all levels of education with political and sexual indoctrination and perversion.  That leads to a generation like Gen Z which is neurotic, beset by many forms of mental illness, weak physically and addicted to their phones.  This was done strategically and patiently.

Conservatives need to take accountability for the situation, as they allowed it.  It happened under their noses.

5. Joe Biden, is he bubble wrapped by the media? Is it plausible that he really did get 81 million votes to Trump’s 75 million? Why has our electoral process become elongated? Is there an intersection here?

I believe Biden is not Biden.  Go look at the videos from 8 years ago.  He was a chucklehead back then, but that’s about the only similarity.  Eyes, nose, ears – all different.  He may be some sort of replicant that was created to do the bidding of the DNC and Soros.  He may indeed be the real Joe with any number of surgeries that have altered his appearance – but is incredibly impaired mentally and controlled by a small cabal – with ‘Dr’ Jill’s ongoing compliance.  He may be drugged and purposely impaired.

The constant trips to Delaware are telling.  I believe maintenance is performed on the replicant on these weekends.

Joe got 81 Million ballots – not votes.  We all know how it was done, and enabled by the media, federal and state bureaucracies.   Ballot harvesting and creation is real.  Pennsylvania is the ultimate example that remains unfixed.  Does anyone really believe Fetterman was really elected?  Yes, leftists are that insane, but many just can’t or are unwilling to believe it.

 6. The Media, first rate or corrupt? Who has it right? Where are the bad actors?

Mark Levin has covered this best – they have always been corrupt going back to the ‘party press’ in the US a century ago.  Newspapers around the US were named for the political parties overtly.  They tried to professionalize to some degree after WW2 but let’s face it – they were finks back then too.  We all knew.  One big difference was that up until very recently, most networks would cover real news and issues regardless of which side they were on.  Think back to Clinton’s impeachment or Biden’s lies in his earlier presidential attempts.  Leftist news outlets reported all of it.  We now have a completely corrupt leftist press in the US.  Fox News is not much better and was in on the 2020 election fraud.  Newsmax is tolerable.  OAN ok but not widely available.  Sites like The 53rd Regiment will eventually replace traditional news outlets.  Citizens and Patriots trust each other more than manipulators and posers at the networks.

7. China. Many of your intellectual writings take on the Chinese Communists and their American collaborators. How do you assess the Chinese threat and what actions must the US take?

Unlike the Cold War in which we were at a stand off with a distinct and entrenched communist enemy, with China we are much more entangled with a more sinister foe.  Think about it.  We source massive amounts of consumer goods from an emerging enemy.  We are educating their youth who go back home afterward and work against us.  None of this makes any sense.  We have allowed them to infiltrate our institutions and work against us.  Our largest corporations are completely in bed with and compromised by China.  Ditto on that for our largest universities.

Consider any of the woke leftist absurd ideas – from gender ideology to ESG to Climate Change to Covid – China CCP’s prints are all over these ideas and efforts.  They are trying to rot us from within.  They have been successful.  We have a serious need for internal reform, let alone the need to compete and win in any number of technology based problem areas.  Meanwhile, the installed leadership of the US continues to retreat and signal weakness.

8. Do you buy the whole argument that the US leadership role is being passed by China? There is nothing the US can do?

I don’t buy it.  I don’t accept it.  The current fiasco could be turned around in a week with the right leadership at the presidential level.  Trump had them managed and compliant – quickly.  You can read his likely China agenda on this site.  In the end freedom wins.  The ability of the USA to leapfrog and CCP achievement remains, despite the democrats constant attempts to undermine the country.

9. COVID19, should China be held accountable? Why hasn’t Biden confronted China on the Virus?

Biden is compromised.  China has a multitude of video tapes of Joe and his son doing horrific things.  Aside from that, Joe has been paid off.  That information was on the laptop from hell.  WE ALL KNOW.

With regard to COVID – Trump has it right.  Their bill is $20 trillion for starters for what they did to us and the rest of the world.  Further, an entire generation of students from grade school to college have been permanently damaged by the idiotic lockdowns caused by the China Virus and weak, primarily democrat, leadership.  The root cause was China.

10. What has happened to the US Army, the Department of Defense and the American warrior spirit? What is the state of military leadership in our Armed Forces?

Another outrageous situation.  There is a crop of general officers, some retired, some still in the service, who lost 2 wars with zero accountability.  You might argue that Iraq was not lost, but I’d say it wasn’t won either.  Regardless, these arrogant slobs mouth off on all sorts of matters – political and woke – but check their tongues on their own malfeasance – like the disastrous pull out from Afghanistan.  Some of these train wrecks are also borderline obese.  Honestly our general officer corps is starting to remind me of the groups of ancient Soviet generals you’d see overlooking the May Day parades in Moscow, or the groups of toady generals you see with Kim Jong Un – with loads of medals on their uniforms, that signify nothing.  They suck up to get along.

 11. Woke-ism, ESG, Transgenderism and DEI – are these the tools Obama implemented to radically transform America while he lives a palatial life in Hawaii, DC and Martha’s Vineyard?

That smug and unaccomplished punk is the author of many of our worst ills.   Lots of baby boomers voted for him believing we needed a black president.  They enabled all of it. We need a president that loves America and takes his oath of office seriously regardless of color. By the way, the Floppy Mike thing is real.

12. Some believe Joe Biden is simply Obama’s front man. That Obama’s grand bargain with Biden was to be installed president, he will take all direction from “the puppet masters.” What do you believe?

I believe there is an Obama, Rice, Klain, Jarrett cabal.  Keep your eyes on Valerie Jarrett.  She is the most sinister Obama operative.  Note how fast Roseanne Barr was fired for making a joke about her – it was still early in the woke period but she was canned and cancelled immediately.  That was a Jarrett demand.  That group is in direct control of the replicant.  They make the calls while Dr Jill changes the diapers.

13. Who wins 2024 if it is Trump vs. Biden again?

With actual votes, Trump wins his third term.  With ballots its anybody’s guess.  Of the 5 worst states for voter fraud, Pennsylvania is worse off than 2020, Arizona is also worse off.  Michigan is the same.  Wisconsin has done some reform.  Georgia has made reforms.  Trump can’t win AZ or PA for obvious reasons.

Republicans have to come back at democrats with the same level of acumen the democrats have developed for using the legal system against their enemies.  If they don’t they will be sidelined for decades to come.

14. Why is corporate America jumping on the woke, ESG and DEI train? Can it be stopped?

It’s leftist bullying at its core, but there are several other elements.  The incoming generation, indoctrinated in their education, demand their employers take public positions on issues that have nothing to do with their business.  They are shrill little punks and many executives cave to them out of concerns for retaining talent.  Further, the PR and marketing functions in particular are staffed with left leaning woke dopes.  That goes across all industries.  If you want to experience group think – go hang out with Marketers or PR Hacks for a day.  Willing idiots and dopes.
Recently candy makers Mars and Hershey both learned hard lessons by letting their marketing idiots engage on transgender BS.  In the end maybe losses and poor performance will make them learn.  Leftist don’t learn however so it’s a tough situation.

15. As we close out this interview let’s end on a positive note. What gives you hope about America’s future that our better days are ahead of us?

I am an optimist despite the fact that we are in strange times.  A number of things about the United States will endure.  Most of the people are not woke.  Most of the people do not trust the media.  Most of the people love and worship God.  We still have the most innovation happening in our midst than any other place on the planet.  We still are the one place people from around the world want to come to in order to have a fair chance at making it.  We are still the best last hope for liberty on the planet.  The constitution endures.  The bill of rights endures despite obvious democrat hatred for it.  All of you can BE HEARD via places like The 53rd Regiment.   We will be fine, but we are going to have to go to work.

1. Svit, during the dark days of pre Elon Musk purchase of Twitter, how did you survive the masking of accounts, cancel culture and the viscous left? Initially, I deleted my account, as I noticed other Twitter users were doing-so. However, the deletion, did not come easily, I struggled with it, but I could see weekly, often daily, my account was targeted and my followers dropped, as did the people I followed did – deleted it. Spooky! As a Tech, it was easy to see, or realize I was being targeted, while not “pin-pointed” personally, possibly I was caught in a “rule” that dastardly algorithm we always hear about. I suggest it was a rule-based tool, searching for phrases , created by programmers targeting conservative users. These rules, or algorithms, unlike the potato, or turnip, or bunny, they do not breed, human hands create them. Do not believe Obama!
2. Tell us about yourself. Russian or Ukrainian? Family background? Communism your family endured? Are you seeing an installation of progressive/communist policies to destroy our freedom?
I consider myself Russian, in the same sense an American from various states calls themselves American, i.e., Texan, Californian, etc. However, I do indeed come from people in various provinces of the Ukraine and Balkans. I am not from the Grand Duchy of Moscow. So, I am Ukrainian. See the irony? Unlike some Ukrainians that play in this 19th century Balkanization, I could see the stirring of war years ago, even when this so-called break occurred, I always wince when people bring up this imaginary Kievan Rus as their starting point for the break away. Its nonsense, foolish, and of course the European Union, that Von Renthe creation exploits it to the full – Guy Verhofstadt anyone? Not one of our good ancestors would understand this term Ukrainia in the modern sense, the nobles, the Grand Princes, and Emperors who ruled us never asked the simple peasant their opinions, and the likely answer “that’s for the Tsar to decide, not me”. My point, several people are guilty in this Ukrainian quagmire, and these guilty people now crow, and pimp for war with an innocence that shocks me…. My background, I did not have the greatest upbringings until a relative stepped in, and from there, my life was much better, but a new hammer came with it. This lady my aunt, struck fear into any nonsense, or bad grade I ever received. Her constant reminder that I was her parents’ grandson was the beginning of punishment. The fist that smacked my mug though, was always covered with velvet! I owe her everything, the wonderful woman, and her husband. He came recently before he died, telling me how proud she was of me, nothing was more awarding than this. As to more, I grew up hearing terrible stories of socialism, I had very old relatives around, so the constant stories were horrid. I mention one always, the worst, of a relative being stuffed in a barrel, nails jammed in, and rolled down a hill. Certainly, socialism at its most caring efficiency, it teaches the audience, the onlookers to obey!
3. Electric Ronald, statesman or clown? Complete clown. Unbelievable this clown has aged there 50 years. This says something about the voter, sadly!
4. I see in social meeting “engagements” with leftist tyrants you are 246 – 0 in fights. What is the key to victory? I read Saul Alinsky, and I never answer these trolls for the most part. I like to toy with them, be absurd, drag them into a hole, throw out facts, distortions, and let them get caught, then hammer them. Strangely, many of these leftists admit they are racist, bigots and tools. Almost all of them block me, I believe 1 or 2 have not. I know for the most part I accuse them of nonsense, but I really do believe, some, honestly, work for politicians. Some have followed me to other platforms, and I am 100% certain 3 were actual politicians.
5. You would appear to have a Band of Brothers that have your back on Twitter. How did this group of patriots organize? Who are they? Honestly, that’s the funny part! I used to get on twitter to just tell people what I am up to. I go to clubs, hang out always in various places, record shops, eat at various places. I never speak of politics to my friends – ever. I defended a person on Twitter with a similar background (though famous), and these trolls came at me. Well, I deleted the account, and then came back at these same trolls under a new account, and from there I started meeting various Twitter users with the same sense of humor, and similar background. I think from there, I started adding people, to the chats, as I find them funny, these people, these leftists, they are morons. We need a laugh, life is good, not some horrid vile place controlled by animals like Schiff.
6. Who tells bigger lies, Schiff or Swalwell? Best nicknames for them? One appears to be a watermelon and the other a Bunny. Though I would say Schiff is the biggest lair, he is intelligent, and calculates his dirty business. Schiff’s nicknames, like watermelon, I think pencil neck is best. Swalwell, lets be honest. How did this tool pass the bar exam? He really is a low intelligent public servant. My thoughts, he would suffer without Nancy’s benevolence. I struggled with all his nicknames, finally Bunny came up. Absurd! Totally! Absurd like Swalwell. Bunny is the best, it annoys this loser.

WHO THE HECK IS JOSEPH EDER ??

Q&A interview with The 53rd Regiment’s (the53rdregiment.com) good friend, Mr Joseph Eder. You can find several of Joe’s art pieces featured prominently on numerous articles on the 53rd’s website. Joe brings his talents to us from Europe as a proud Austrian.  His masterpieces bring insights on the social, political and cultural times we are living in. The 53rd appreciates artist flare and we are grateful to have him as a contributor to our work. 

1. Your artwork is special, unique. Who’s better, Rembrandt, Vangoe or Eder? 

Rembrandt and van Gogh were great masters, but both of lousy humor. A good cartoon is more than just art, there is also the journalistic, feuilletonistic part, along with hard hitting comedy. Best thing as a cartoonist: You can offend people without having to cut your ear off!!!

2. What is the inspiration for your artwork? Who did you model yourself after?

Well, I draw ´em like I see ´em, but of course there was some inspiration for this style of drawing. First of all there are Europe´s Classic-Comic-Masters like Ibanez(Clever&Smart) or Uderzo(Asterix), but also Amercian stuff like Popeye or Tom and Jerry, who I always loved as a kid, and then we have all the great Street-Art pieces around Europe, still inspiring me, but the most important influence I had as a political cartoonist is the Austrian godfather of dark humor, Manfred Deix(R.I.P).

3. Three dinner guests to enjoy an evening with, who would you pick?

Biden, Zelenskyj and Putin, sitting at an Ukraine-shaped table, and once again it´s me who´s forced to pay them dinner!

4. Joe Biden, the American President, what is the average German sentiment on the street? Old fool or greatest American president ever?

I think even the German Leftists have realized that this guy is a very dangerous mix of corruption and being senile…. In Austria and Switzerland people are more concerned about the growing influence of NATO-Worldwarmongers, trying to lure us into giving up our neutrality. Being neutral means neither wanting to be “liberated“ by the Russians, nor wanting to be “protected“ by NATO. To put and end to the circus, one must not become the circus!!!

5. Would you let Joe Biden watch your children?

In general it´s enough that they have to watch Brandon´s global shitshow every day and besides that, well educated Austrian kids would never accept a foreign president as an authority.

6. Do you prefer Octoberfest or International Women’s Day?

Well, both events seem to have the same problems: being totally sold out to Marketing and Propaganda, so if you want to see a real beerfest, along with true Feminism, better vistit our countryside instead, where traditionally strong women know what they want and people don´t need an orchestrated reason to drink. Besides that, without all that tourism-fuzz, everything tastes better, yes, I meant EVERYTHING!!!

7. American football recently played a game in Germany. Boring or worth a look?

Sorry to say and no offense, I seriously never heard about that, maybe I´m too busy watching wintersports…

8. Russia and Ukraine War, Joe how does this end?

This might sound a bit romantic, but I truly believe, that it is on us, the common people, to put an end to this useless, crazy waste of innocent lives. If our peaceful protest against this war can put enough pressure on the streets, they have to negotiate. It´s us funding these killings and it´s us who can put and end to it….Power to the people!!!

  • 9. Final thoughts for your American friends, any advice on best places in Germany to visit?

    The best places to visit in Germany are the railwaystations, where highspeed trains will bring you to Austria, a country much older than just 150 years, where the food is better(you have to try the pastries) and world´s best coffee is served. People might seem a bit grumpy on the first, but after a bottle of wine, everything´s fine…

Psychic MAGA Predictions 2023

Fellow patriots it’s time for our annual look forward – our prognostications for 2023.  More exciting than Nostradamus, more accurate than Jean Dixon and more entertaining than watching Chris Christy and Alexander Vindman fight over a fresh box of Dunkin Donuts!!
Onward – here are our best predictions for 2023 using a proprietary method known only to the staff of The 53rd Regiment and certain members of the Knights of Malta.
Adam Kinzinger will be rejected by the Fake News as a commentator.  Gets a job as a Drag Queen Story hour scheduler in a Chicago suburb.
It is revealed during hearings on the Hunter Biden debacle that Hunter had affairs with Cher, Joy Bejar, Bette Midler and Rob Reiner.
Elon Musk will delegate the leadership of Twitter to a reliable 10th grader from one of his children’s high school.  Once the technical issues and business model are fixed, he will announce that day to day there’s just not much to do.
Mitch Romney will announce that he is transitioning.  Lyndsay Graham will announce he already has.
Michelle Obama will host a wide-ranging press conference in anticipation of a presidential run.  Topics covered with include the Floppy Mike controversy and the related death of Joan Rivers.
George Conway, husband/wife of Kellyanne, will join the world of competitive eating in what many will consider a long overdue ‘no brainer’- he will enjoy notoriety after defeating Kobayashi in the 2023 Nathan’s Coney Island Hotdog Eating Contest
After sinking further to previously unknown levels of irrelevance and detestability, Bill Kristol will finally self-actualize and become spokesman for Vladimir Putin.  The money will be better than what he gets from the DNC and the food and booze at the Kremlin will grow on him.
Paul Pelosi, or Hunter 2.0 as he now calls himself, will take the first of many trips to Ukraine as an alleged peace broker.  He will have an unknown guest with him.
In a provocative move, Liz Cheney will pose for a nude spread at Playboy, Inc, which will finally drive that relic out of business.  Undeterred, Liz will set up her own only fans account.
Klaus Schwab will announce that he will move to Sleepy Joe’s Delaware beach house and continue to enjoy his semi-nude beach walks there, while advising Dr Jill on the best globalist wipes for diaper duty.
Amy Klobuchar and Liz Warren will star in a remake of the 60’s television series The Mothers-in-law
The Lincoln Project will openly lobby for the legalization of pedophilia. Simultaneously Biden will issue proactive pardons for all potential charges of pedophilia against Lincoln Project members.
Stacey Abrams will replace Whoopi Goldberg on the View; while not quite as ghastly and beastly as Whoopi, she will commit to putting in the work.
John Brennan, Frank Luntz, James Clapper, Michael Hayden, James Comey and Ron Klain will be arrested for public indecency at a rest area off of I-95.  Quick pardons will be issued from Biden as the MSM refuses to cover the story.
In related news, General Milley will announce the entire Navy is transitioning and remind the nation that the Navy was ‘trans from the beginning and that being trans is in keeping with our finest military traditions!’
Alexander Vindman will be revealed to be the long-suffering wife of Senator Charles Schumer as he files for divorce.
Citizens of Arizona will begin a movement to get their rightfully elected Governor in office.
John Fetterman will be revealed as a DNC clone experiment gone awry.  Meant to be one of the many standard Biden Clones used for the presidency, Fetterman was one such clone that went bad as he was being hatched.  DNC leadership decided that the nitwit dems in PA would embrace him, along with a nice sprinkling of election fraud.

Americans are largely disgusted at the massive dysfunction of our government. This latest episode of the Pelosi-Schumer government shutdown demonstrates how the majority of elected representatives serve themselves and not the republic. The ancient, entrenched democratic party leadership led by Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer are out of touch with mainstream thought and common sense Americans. Their agenda is centered on power, control and more power, America be dammed.

President Trump has stayed in Washington throughout the holidays and he has canceled several trips ready to negotiate with democratic leadership over funding for the wall and border security. The democrats have vacationed in Hawaii, Puerto Rico and planned a seven day excursion to overseas to “visit the troops.” President Trump canceled Pelosi’s boondoggle to keep her in town to negotiate (the troops wont miss the distraction either!). While on the surface picturing Pelosi & Adam Schiff exiting the shuttle bus when their trip was canceled is priceless, this was more than a tit-for-tat for Pelosi canceling the State of the Union address. President Trump put his foot down telling Pelosi stop playing games with Americans and their government. Compromise!

Border security is a real issue. One statistic alone should make funding border security and key portions of the wall a slam dunk; 300 Americans die weekly due to drug overdoses whereby 90% of drugs are coming across the southern border. That is 15,600 Americans dying a year before we ever get to illegal immigration, human trafficking, MS-13 and terrorists infiltrating across. Failure to address this issue is unforgivable and Trump gets it.

Both Pelosi and Schumer have voted for the wall and border security before, several times. So what is this about? Power, control, resistance and more power. Pelosi & Schumer are willing to let Americans suffer from government dysfunction so they can resist, secure power and undermine the President’s ability to govern. Their conduct is shameful, outrageous and unbecoming a public servant.

The President is right to stand his ground. He has been offering to meet in the middle putting American safety and security first. Reasonable people can compromise. To do less than that is unforgivable after the turmoil Pelosi & Schumer have put the country through. All of this will be remembered in 2020 and the democrats are once again demonstrating their inability to govern responsibly by legislating to the extremes. Although the mainstream media continues to attack and blame Trump for this mess, Americans proved in 2016 they see through all the lies. Democrats should think about that because while they took the House, the Republicans not only maintained the Senate, they added seats. Americans are watching and already regretting giving the democrats back the House.

The childish mud Pelosi threw at President Trump cancelling the State of the Union address landed in a puddle. Trump stepped into the puddle, picked up the mud and threw it back at her canceling her trip overseas. What we have here is a Muddle (mud + puddle). Pelosi still hasn’t learned that President Trump does some of his best work in the mud!

                Thanksgiving originated as a harvest festival beginning with the Pilgrims in 1621. In 1789, with a proclamation by President George Washington, Thanksgiving became a federal holiday but was celebrated on different days throughout the union. It wasn’t until President Lincoln proclaimed a day of Thanksgiving in 1863 as the last Thursday in November that it became a federal holiday celebrated on the same day. This Thanksgiving there is much to give thanks for beyond football games and parades but for a President restoring faith in America and creating opportunity for all.

                Economy. A record number of Americans are working and industries are investing in stateside companies again and employees due to the policies of President Trump. The gross domestic product (GDP) is approaching 4% for 2018, a number thought impossible just a year ago. To put this into perspective, each percentage point adds about 3 million new jobs and $3 trillion in revenue to the economy. These are huge meaningful numbers to be thankful for. There are not only more jobs being created, but Americans have job choices as there are more jobs than employees available. This is driving up wages. Companies are now competing for employees. This is a winning formula for Americans. 

                Justice Kavanaugh! Past administrations would have folded and allowed the deceitful democrats to plant their lies and orchestrate their malicious politics of personal destruction against conservatives with media complicity. Past administrations would have withdrawn the nominee. Not President Trump with able Senators Grassley and Graham calling out the lies and countering with outrage, truth and spine! When your President is strong and fights for justice, he emboldens others to follow suite. This Thanksgiving, we’ll be joining Justice Kavanaugh for several rounds of beer because the 53rd loves beer too! 

                Fair Trade. On the world stage President Trump is standing up to China for manipulating their currency, intellectual property theft and unfair trade practices where they dump their products at low prices to kill American and western industries. Trump’s tariffs target Chinese state sponsored strategies that are destroying America’s economic power, industries and technological advantages through economic espionage. Trump is trying to reverse decades of American economic leadership malaise challenging the Chinese to play fair or suffer the consequences. This is Trump’s America first policy (“I’m a nationalist”), putting Americans and America first. The next issue President Trump should address is Chinese forced partnership in China, again centered on growing Chinese industries at the expense of America.  American industries that do business in China have to be majority owned by a Chinese state enterprise to get access to their market, 50.1% or greater. This is how China has risen to the number two economy in the world. This needs to stop. POTUS is on target and for that the 53rd Regiment is thankful!

Religious Liberty. In America it is shocking to even have to write this but political correctness, the abortion industry and Hollywood regularly mock the faithful and label us. There are Americans afraid to demonstrate their faith in public. Not only is President Trump wishing all of us a Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukah, but he has shown humility by publicaly asking for prayers from pastors and seeking their counsel. As the President has stated, “America is a nation of believers, and together we are strengthened by the power of prayer.”

Twitter Patriots

America’s sons and daughters of liberty are taking twitter by storm. They are the modern day equivalent of Minute Men or Daughters of Liberty pushing back against the fake news networks, the leftist-socialist propaganda agenda and the 24/7 President Trump resistance movement. While @twitter does their best to shadow ban or limit their messaging, these patriots will not be silenced. These patriots stand proudly with @potus Trump Make America Great Again movement, #MAGA.

The trailblazing duo of @DiamondandSilk were early adopters of President Trump as a pair of his most outspoken and loyal supporters. Their tag team approach of bringing reality to liberals with a little “chit chat” is direct, humorous and on point. 

Bringing national security expertise and street smarts, former secret service agent and NYPD officer @dbongino deals directly and forcefully with liberal lies and fake news on all forums including his podcast. Dan is eloquent, quick witted and a regular on @foxnews burning the midnight oil ready to joist a liberal elite off their horse at a moment’s notice. 

@RealJamesWoods is our favorite Hollywood conservative with his take no prisoners approach to commentary. Quick witted and armed with an MIT education, foolish fake fanciful liberals think they can challenge him or refute his critiques. Wrong! James will quickly undress you with your pants down around your ankles with your shoes tied together.

Brilliant, quick witted and tough, the @hodgetwins don’t mess around! They go deep and swing for the fences. These two “Comedians, Black Conservatives” are all about calling out the loons on the left with humor and wit. Make America Great Again!

Failing to secure the border is endangering families and children. American communities are under assault from crime, drugs and gangs. American government agencies such as Immigration Control & Enforcement (ICE) and the Border Patrol are being overrun by an orchestrated campaign by democrats in Congress to not enforce our immigration laws while encouraging open borders, the abolishment of ICE and mass amnesty to anyone who illegally crosses into our country. People in Central American countries are being manipulated by human traffickers, Coyotes (a person who smuggles Latin Americans across the US border, typically for a high fee), drug cartels and profiteers. Innocent people  in poor countries are fleeing economic plight to find better opportunities in America not legally, but illegally. Under these circumstances, the democrats are not only putting the lives of women and children trying to make it to America at great risk by empowering criminal elements, they are failing to enforce our laws endangering their fellow Americans while calling for open borders and the elimination of ICE. Who Do Dems Support – Americans or Coyotes?

Seventeen years removed from the attacks of September 11th, the irresponsible leadership of the Democratic Party (Sen. Glory Days – “BOLO”

The 53rd Regiment News

Dateline: March 1st, 2017

Army troops know the term. No one wanted to BOLO a training event, fail a land navigation course or be associated with some Army training event or exercise that they failed in. No one wanted to be a “BOLO.”

BOLO is a pejorative term meaning failure. It also has some history meaning “Be on the Look Out,” but this is not the meaning in modern day units. In my “glory days,” BOLO was directed at failure or a person who couldn’t get their act together meeting the lowest of standards. One might hear:

  • “Hey Smith, what the hell happened, BOLO again?”
  • “Hey Sir, on the range today we had 29 qualify and 3 BOLO’s”
  • “Jones, what a major BOLO”

I also found a reference stating that BOLO was a term used in WWII for American trained Philippine guerrilla forces that failed to achieve basic marksmanship proficiency with a rifle. They were issued “bolo” knives instead of firearms to preserve ammunition. Hence, they were perhaps the first “BOLOs.”

In basic training, BOLO was a favorite term among Drill Sergeants for recruits among other words or terms that were not very  pleasant. BOLO was actually one of the kinder words one could be called by a Drill Sergeant for failure. This was back in an era before sensitivity training, Consideration of Others Program (COOP) training or before present day college Safe Spaces.

#MobRule – Pray for Dallas

(Dateline 8 July 2016) The Ferguson Effect in combination with the poor command climate established by this administration and President Barack Obama has created a toxic environment where police officers are under attack by fellow Americans. How did this happen? How far have we fallen? This administration once again focuses on their agenda and not the lives of our citizens.

The Rule of Law is under assault in every corner of America. Those who protect us day-in-and-day-out are under attack and instead of this president having their back, he has questioned and accused police departments of institutional racism from isolated incidents. This week Secretary Clinton was somehow not indicted for breaking numerous laws, coincidence of a Tarmac meeting between the DoJ Loretta Lynch and President Bill Clinton. The elite are protected and the average citizen would have already been in jail if we did what Clinton did.

Americans are saddened, bewildered and shocked at what is happening to our country. There is no respite  from the liberal-progressive assault on tradional values, respect for law and order and support for those wearing blue.

Pray for our fallen, pray for our country and pray that America finds her way with the silent majority restoring our way of life.

(Dateline April 2016) Arguably the left and the Democratic Party have always excelled at organizing the masses for various causes, some real and many manufactured. During the Obama years, manufactured movements (#MobRule) have been put on hyper drive and the go-to methodology for fabricating issues and enacting policies to control the masses and bring forth more regulation and taxes on businesses. What many people on the left fail to understand, or they are perfectly fine with, is that our government is gradually removing individual freedoms and replacing our freedoms with dictates, oppressive regulations and surveillance instruments to monitor our adherence. Let’s look at a few examples.

The governors of New York and California have recently passed laws to enact a mandatory $15 Minimum Wage law. So much for free market capitalism, supply and demand practices and Adam Smith’s invisible hand. These type laws are not only un-American, they are a reflection of how far a once vibrant US economy has fallen in the last two decades, especially during the Obama years. We are now replacing skilled and manufacturing jobs with $15 dollar fast food restaurant jobs and other entry-level jobs. This is the best the left and Democrats can offer? Think about it, instead of creating the economic conditions for businesses to thrive and prosper through lower regulation and lower taxes, they will inevitably chase employers away with these job-killing policies. These so called “living wage” laws define a lack of understanding in basic economic principles and really serve the Lefts own agenda of manufacturing causes for low information masses to help their own re-election campaigns and make payouts to their special interests.

The Occupy Wall Street movement was another convenient movement for the left and the Democratic Party to manipulate the masses and spew their anti-capitalism message to the low information voters and of course blame American big business, banks and Wall Street for all of America’s woes. When American states and cities led by Democratic Governors and Mayors are imploding with excessive debt, poor services and corruption, America as a whole is left with this carnage while the Demons blame others and assign scapegoats. They fail to ever think about holding themselves accountable for misappropriation of taxpayer funding, poor decision making or failure to maintain and live within a budget. This would be asking too much. Blame the 1%ers, the doers, the job creators; they are to blame for what is wrong with America. It was also very convenient how the Occupy Wall Street Movement coincided with President Obama’s re-election campaign beginning in November 2011. Hmmm. I guess all the 99%er problems must be solved now because Occupy Wall Street is no more and not in the news, they have moved on to the next movement, #BlackLivesMatter. Always a new cause to create, manufacture and give the willing media accomplices something to run with.

It doesn’t matter that the Police Officer that shot Michael Brown in self defense, whom was thoroughly investigated and found innocent by several investigations including the FBI, Department of Justice, and a local trial. What matters is the political and media narrative about Black Lives Matter, as if they do not (insulting by the race baiting crowd!). A false narrative that continues to be embraced today drove the riots initiated by mob rule in Ferguson, Missouri. Fact — the white police officer has been found innocent of any wrong doing against the black youth, Michael Brown who physically attacked him. From this false narrative, we have #BlackLivesMatter. Well, the busloads of protesters now being transported from city to city for various causes to include #BlackLivesMatter, I trust that Democratic Party backers are paying them the new $15 minimum wage standard for various manufactured protests? I would hope so as it is difficult to generate false passion about a plurality of causes. However, they have mastered the art of disruption and fabricating causes for the media circus.

My challenge to #BlackLivesMatter, park your asses in Chicago and demand safety and increased police presence for citizen safety. To date for 2016, 110 blacks have been gunned down and murdered in the city of Chicago alone. This is unacceptable! Stop being political stooges for the Democratic Party and put your energy and time into making a real difference. This is insane and outrageous. Every American deserves to live in a crime free environment where safety and security is paramount. Demand it, protest for it, lead it, and do something about it! #MobRule needs to end!

Bartolo!!!

It is high, it is far, it is outta here! HR # 1 for Bart after 20+ years in MLB!!!

SAN DIEGO — Leave it to the fan who caught the Bartolo Colon home-run ball to put it all in perspective.

“Bartolo is a true athlete,” Jimmy Zurn, 35, told The Post on Saturday night at Petco Park during the Mets’ 6-3 win over the Padres. “Anyone who can crush a plate of nachos and crush a baseball like that has to be an athlete.”

Zurn knows athletes. He is the baseball coach at La Mirada High School in Southern California, and best of all for Colon and the Mets, he is a Mets fan.

When a trade was offered for the baseball, he told officials: “The only thing I want is for the Mets to win a world championship. Win the World Series and I will be happy.’’

Zurn happily gave the ball to those officials, who sent it to the Mets’ clubhouse and Colon as the game was going on — but not before Zurn got some terrific cell phone shots, including his 5-year-old son, Ryan, with the ball.

In that picture, you can see the love of the game.

Jimmy and his wife, Sarah, are heading to the Subway Series later this season, so you know the Mets will work out some kind of deal, a package is on the way. Zurn is a David Wright fan, and after the game, the family met the Mets, including Wright.

The Amazing Bartolo Colon brings out the best in baseball fans, doesn’t he?

At 42, he is a cult hero.

It’s only fitting Colon’s second-inning blast over the fence in the left-field corner landed in the seat of a Mets fan who was at the game with his wife and their sons, Ryan and Ben, 3.

“My parents are from Buffalo,” Zurn said, explaining how he became a Mets fan.

Colon’s shot off a 1-1 fastball from James Shields was a two-run blast and put the Mets ahead 4-0.

Noted Wright: “You never know what you are going to see at a game … tonight we saw it.”

Said Jacob deGrom of the home run: “It was the greatest thing I ever saw.”

I have been lucky enough to be in the ballpark for the Kirk Gibson home run, the Joe Carter home run — two World Series classics — the Aaron Boone home run against the Red Sox and now the Colon home run.

They all were amazing. This was the most surprising.

Colon had gone 246 plate appearances in the majors without a home run. In his 226th career at-bat, he lined a fastball over the fence at Petco Park.

Colon gave up a three-run home run to Jon Jay, but no big deal, that only made his home run the game-winning shot. And so it goes.

Bart knows excitement. It took him 30.6 seconds to round the bases. When he got to the dugout, the Mets players were up the runway, so Colon arrived at a player-less dugout.

He went along with the joke, went to the far end of the dugout, and soon his teammates were jumping for joy. The old guy brings out the kid in everyone. He called the home run the “biggest moment of my career.”

As for getting the ball back, Colon said of the Zurn family, “It is a beautiful thing they did.”

Colon is a baseball gift. As he came off the field with two outs in the seventh, twice Colon paused and turned his head to look into that left-field corner.

Perhaps he wanted to get one more look at the spot where his home run landed, perhaps he was just checking the scoreboard, but the round mound of baseball was walking off with a lead after hitting a home run for the first time in his career.

Yoenis Cespedes, Colon, Wright and Michael Conforto also homered.

“Put them all in the same sentence,” Terry Collins joked of his home-run hitters.

It was quite the night for all Mets fans — one Colon and the Zurn family will never forget.

U.S. Navy Petty Officer 1st Class, Charles Keating, was recently Killed in Action in Northern Iraq. It’s on you, Commander in Chief. Our forces on the ground are under manned, under resourced and under appreciated by a White House staff of “leaders” who are incapable of making sound tactical and strategic decisions, because they are clouded by politics. An agenda that has failed miserably and puts politics before troop welfare. An agenda that dictated a timed and broadcasted troop withdrawal that created this current state of volatility and derailed a decade of progress within Iraq.

Our service members are deployed on a garbage advisory mission, that has them “advising” an incompetent and corrupt Iraqi Military. A mission that would have taken years to properly execute, but over inflated numbers on their operational effectiveness were reported by agenda driven White House “leaders” that use talking points as principles of war.

Charles Keating is on you, Commander In Chief. You tied the Pentagon’s hands limiting their military options and put US Forces in a situation that was destined for failure; your garbage policies are catastrophically useless to US Forces on the ground. We kicked the enemies  asses in 2007 – 2008 that stabilized the country paying the the price, only for Obama to give it all away in 2011 with his dereliction of duty withdrawing all US Forces. Now, it’s lost and those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice … they are on you Mr. Obama. Your failed leadership have endangered US Forces and the United States of America. God help us.
