Once again 53^rd Nation, it’s time to do our Christmas shopping and line up those absolutely perfect gifts for the denizens of the Swamp, and other liberal enclaves across the land. Let’s jump right in and help Santa make some selections, despite the fact that they’ve all been naughty:

Nancy Pelosi: Nancy gets a Crumbcake so she can have some of her crumbs back. We also throw in a free visit to the botox emporium of her choice so she can continue to look good while POTUS administers his regular beat downs to her.

Cryin’ Chuck Schumer: Chuck – this year you get a nice package of adult diapers, which you likely needed as you left that oval office beat down the other day. 2019 will bring you many mean POTUS tweets and head punches. Better get the diapers on regularly.

Jeff Flake: Jeff, now that you have time, the 53^rd Nation is going to buy you a nose job. Get that thing fixed for the love of humanity. You will also receive some free career counseling to help you in your new gig as a commentator for the Very Fake News – which you’ve been auditioning for the last 2 years.

Mitt Romney: Mitt will get a football helmet. It’s only a matter of time before POTUS starts to clobber him for the many dopey statements he will make to enshrine himself in the middle of the road – where you find only dead skunks and armadillos – and Mitt.

John Brennan: a new set of pajamas – the ones with footsies sewed on and the trap door on the back. When he’s not yelling on MSNBC or erupting with irrational anger in his tweets, he will need to stay in bed and eat his mush. The jammies will make that more comfy for crazy gampy JohnnyB.

James Comey: clearly a narcissist sociopath – we’ll get Jim his favorite thing: a mirror.

Rosie O’Donnell: Rosie likes carbs, so under her tree we will leave many many many potato products: French fries, tater tots, mashed potatoes, Twice baked potatoes, etc. Yum yum for Rosie!

Joy Bejar: we gotta do Joy a favor and get her a muzzle. Sometimes our loyal dogs are unfriendly to strangers and it’s the only way to prevent unfortunate accidents. Ruff!

Babs Streisand: Babs doesn’t bring us flowers – or talent – anymore. Only mean bitter hack tweets about our president. We’ll get Babs a rocking chair and some knitting needles to keep her busy while she reflects on the old days.

Maxine Waters: what Mad Max needs is a civics course and a new set of wigs – we got ya Max.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez: This young person also needs a civics course. We like her foolish nonsense though, so instead of civics, we will sign her up for some yoga and wine tasting classes to help keep her in #BigDummy status for as long as possible.

Stephen King: talented writer but Stalinist leftist Stephen King gets a free relocation to Cuba or Venezuela – his choice. He can take formless Human Blob Michael Moore and insane knucklehead Sean Penn with him.

Bill Kristol: what do you get for the washed up neo-con know it all that seems to tweet angrily at POTUS all day long? Sad bitter lonely hack Bill needs serious therapy. For starters we send him Jordan Peterson’s Twelve Rules for Life with the suggestion that he start reading the chapter on Rule 9: Assume the person you’re listening to might know something you don’t. Try it Uncle Bill.

John Kasich: chronic bad eater and complainer John gets a bib for starters, to help him when he eats slices of pizza from the wrong end with overly large bites. We do not expect him to change this disgusting habit so we will provide the means to help keep things tidy. We will also throw in some wet wipes.

Claire McCaskill: Claire gets a hearty thank you for clearing the deck for a Trump backed conservative in the 2^nd MO senate seat. Also – her choice of a free all you can eat serving of Ted Drewes Custard, Pappy’s BBQ, Toasted Ravioli, Gooey Butter Cake or other high calorie MO delicacy of her choice. Nom Nom Nom Claire.

Don Lemon: Buffoon and CNN mouthpiece Don gets a propeller beanie to wear while he routinely soils himself on national TV. It will be a good look and definite upgrade.

Jim Acosta: mouthy white house press room toddler gets a time out and no dessert and a lump of coal from 53^rd Nation. May qualify for #Bonehead of the year.

Dan Rather: irrelevant Dan keeps weighing in on POTUS from the deep dark cellar he dwells in. We give Dan a box set of old 60 Minutes DVD’s he can watch to revel in the times he was relevant. Poor Dan. We’d still #RatherNot

Stelter, Cooper, Mika, Joe, Tapper, Todd, David Muir, and all CNN, ABC, NBC, CBS Very Fake News correspondents: The 53^rd Nation is upgrading your clown car to a clown VW Bus, 1968 version. You’ll all be more comfortable in there.

Thanksgiving originated as a harvest festival beginning with the Pilgrims in 1621. In 1789, with a proclamation by President George Washington, Thanksgiving became a federal holiday but was celebrated on different days throughout the union. It wasn’t until President Lincoln proclaimed a day of Thanksgiving in 1863 as the last Thursday in November that it became a federal holiday celebrated on the same day. This Thanksgiving there is much to give thanks for beyond football games and parades but for a President restoring faith in America and creating opportunity for all.

Economy. A record number of Americans are working and industries are investing in stateside companies again and employees due to the policies of President Trump. The gross domestic product (GDP) is approaching 4% for 2018, a number thought impossible just a year ago. To put this into perspective, each percentage point adds about 3 million new jobs and $3 trillion in revenue to the economy. These are huge meaningful numbers to be thankful for. There are not only more jobs being created, but Americans have job choices as there are more jobs than employees available. This is driving up wages. Companies are now competing for employees. This is a winning formula for Americans.

Justice Kavanaugh! Past administrations would have folded and allowed the deceitful democrats to plant their lies and orchestrate their malicious politics of personal destruction against conservatives with media complicity. Past administrations would have withdrawn the nominee. Not President Trump with able Senators Grassley and Graham calling out the lies and countering with outrage, truth and spine! When your President is strong and fights for justice, he emboldens others to follow suite. This Thanksgiving, we’ll be joining Justice Kavanaugh for several rounds of beer because the 53^rd loves beer too!

Fair Trade. On the world stage President Trump is standing up to China for manipulating their currency, intellectual property theft and unfair trade practices where they dump their products at low prices to kill American and western industries. Trump’s tariffs target Chinese state sponsored strategies that are destroying America’s economic power, industries and technological advantages through economic espionage. Trump is trying to reverse decades of American economic leadership malaise challenging the Chinese to play fair or suffer the consequences. This is Trump’s America first policy (“I’m a nationalist”), putting Americans and America first. The next issue President Trump should address is Chinese forced partnership in China, again centered on growing Chinese industries at the expense of America. American industries that do business in China have to be majority owned by a Chinese state enterprise to get access to their market, 50.1% or greater. This is how China has risen to the number two economy in the world. This needs to stop. POTUS is on target and for that the 53^rd Regiment is thankful!

Religious Liberty. In America it is shocking to even have to write this but political correctness, the abortion industry and Hollywood regularly mock the faithful and label us. There are Americans afraid to demonstrate their faith in public. Not only is President Trump wishing all of us a Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukah, but he has shown humility by publicaly asking for prayers from pastors and seeking their counsel. As the President has stated, “America is a nation of believers, and together we are strengthened by the power of prayer.”

Twitter Patriots

America’s sons and daughters of liberty are taking twitter by storm. They are the modern day equivalent of Minute Men or Daughters of Liberty pushing back against the fake news networks, the leftist-socialist propaganda agenda and the 24/7 President Trump resistance movement. While @twitter does their best to shadow ban or limit their messaging, these patriots will not be silenced. These patriots stand proudly with @potus Trump Make America Great Again movement, #MAGA.

The trailblazing duo of @DiamondandSilk were early adopters of President Trump as a pair of his most outspoken and loyal supporters. Their tag team approach of bringing reality to liberals with a little “chit chat” is direct, humorous and on point.

Bringing national security expertise and street smarts, former secret service agent and NYPD officer @dbongino deals directly and forcefully with liberal lies and fake news on all forums including his podcast. Dan is eloquent, quick witted and a regular on @foxnews burning the midnight oil ready to joist a liberal elite off their horse at a moment’s notice.

@RealJamesWoods is our favorite Hollywood conservative with his take no prisoners approach to commentary. Quick witted and armed with an MIT education, foolish fake fanciful liberals think they can challenge him or refute his critiques. Wrong! James will quickly undress you with your pants down around your ankles with your shoes tied together.

Brilliant, quick witted and tough, the @hodgetwins don’t mess around! They go deep and swing for the fences. These two “Comedians, Black Conservatives” are all about calling out the loons on the left with humor and wit. Make America Great Again!

The Long-Forgotten War

Dateline Labor Day 2018

Labor Day is filled with barbeques, parades, family picnics and one final trip to the lake or shore. While the holiday honors America’s workers it also marks the end of summer and the beginning of school starting in most American communities. While we celebrate a great American holiday the war in Afghanistan will remain nothing more than a back-page headline in a few newspapers while families of loved ones deployed endure the absence of their son, sister, mother or father. For them, the war is very real and close to home this holiday weekend.

Operation Resolute Support (ORS) continues to support the fledging Afghanistan government in their fight against the Taliban with about 14 thousand American troops and some NATO alliance support. Seventeen years into this war it is long overdue to take full measure of what has been accomplished, what is still needed to be done. Do we have the right strategy and is the Afghanistan government committed to bring forth a stable Afghanistan that is something much more than a failed state threatening global security?

We are 17 years into the Long-Forgotten War. While this author does not advocate a date certain for bringing American troops home (just look at what Obama’s irresponsible withdrawal from Iraq brought forth) American forces and their families deserve to know what winning looks like. Besides “fighting them over there so we don’t have to fight them here,” what are the conditions for American victory in Afghanistan? I want to emphasize the word “victory.” I trust our political and military leadership are not fighting for a stalemate; that they are fighting for more than not losing; and that they are fighting to win in the strategic national interest of the United States. As a new US commander takes the helm in Afghanistan for ORS it is worth revisiting all these things and for President Trump to remind the American people what it is we are doing in Afghanistan and what it is we are fighting for.

Our troops that are deployed in Afghanistan this Labor Day are fighting for each other; they are fighting to come home to their families; they are fighting for their country and the small part of the mission that has been assigned to their unit. American troops know what their task and purpose is in Afghanistan. The American public does not know what American forces are fighting for this Labor Day and the President should remind all of us. Mr. President, talk to us about Afghanistan and the path forward, our troops and their families deserve it.

Drugs and addictive narcotics are bucketing through our southern border turning teenagers and young adults into drug addicts. Many communities have rapid heroin epidemics and families and law enforcement is overwhelmed.

Illegal border crossers, not immigrants, are pouring into our country and taking up residency throughout the country causing crime; overtaxing social welfare programs and schools; and democratic politicians are praising sanctuary cities and undermining community safety.

The rule of law is being undermined and corrupted by politicians that are pitting fellow Americans against each other by labeling us racists, homophobes and xenophobic.

The Deep State continues to wage war against the election of President Trump despite his economic achievements of record low unemployment and foreign policy successes that include stabilizing Iraq, defeating ISIS in Syria and bringing North Korea to the negotiation table.

The mainstream media (MSM) continues their collective, coordinated and petulant assault against President Trump pushing a false Russian collusion narrative while intentionally not reporting the overwhelming success President Trump has had economically, diplomacy and strengthening our military and alliances through tough love (NATO) and peace through strength (Syria, North Korea and China).

The Catholic Church is under assault from within. Some priests and clergy (although an extreme minority – 2%) have been systematically preying on their flock, the most innocent among us, children. Church leadership at the highest levels have failed to address these heinous crimes with the seriousness, courage and robust cleansing needed to eliminate this horrific problem.

The Silicon Valley and the Tech Giants, Google and Apple in particular, are acquiescing to the Chinese government building a censored search engine and removing applications from I-Tunes allowing the Chinese government to limit speech and control state approved messaging and content. Twitter and Facebook are shadow-banning conservative voices and promoting the leftwing agenda in America.

The Democratic Party and their affiliated tribes (MSM, Teachers Union, Hollywood) would rather “resist” President Trump than move America forward and govern responsibly.

Something wicked this way comes that is undermining America and her people. It festers out of the swamp and it lusts power. It is evil and dark. It is selfish, joyless and a Trojan horse masquerading with free healthcare, free college and a guaranteed living wage. It removes choices, makes promises driven by fear and promises that cannot be kept.

Something wicked this way comes but America stands strong when faced with evil; she doesn’t run nor hide. America prays and she fights. It is time to do both. Pray for America to renew herself once again to the Lord and fight the evil forces that are in play undermining our country from within. Fight not with sword but with reason, love and resolve for an American renewal of spirit.

America’s Promise: Bring the MIA Home

While the media continues to focus on less than serious news to undermine President Trump and his administration, there is a tremendous achievement as it relates to North Korea that is somewhere between under reported and not reported by the Main Stream Media. President Trump has gotten Chairman Kim Jung Un to not only release three American hostages held by the state as a precondition to the Singapore Summit, but North Korea has honored part its commitment to begin repatriating the remains of Americans killed in the Korean War. Sixty Five years later, the North Koreans have returned what is believed to be 55 sets of American remains. Forensic examination is still needed but this is a significant achievement by the Trump Administration to honor America’s promise to their troops never leaving a fallen soldier behind.

I will always place the mission first.
I will never accept defeat.
I will never quit.
I will never leave a fallen comrade.

America’s families are not only owed a debt of gratitude for their sacrifice, they deserve our full measure to bring home the fallen. This is one more promise that President Trump has kept personally involving himself in the request of North Korea to repatriate our fallen. There is much more work to be done here as there are over 7700 Americans missing in the Korean War with the majority of them believed to have fallen in North Korea territory.

The Trump Administration needs to keep the pressure on the North Koreans to repatriate all our missing troops while President Trump works to get Kim Jung Un to denuclearize. While we applaud this first good faith measure by the North Koreans, they must do more to bring all our troops home. America’s families deserve this closure.

Book Review: “Fear: Trump in the White House” by Bob Woodward

Dateline August 1st, 2018

Timed perfectly to support the Democratic Socialists Party (formerly known as Democrats) in the fall of 2018 Midterm elections, Mr. Woodward brings forth a major hit job on President Trump and his administration. Sure to be replete with tens of anonymous sources, administration intrigue on backroom policy arguments and Trump family infighting and gossip, expect to get a heavy dose of Bob Woodward on all the MSM channels in October. The Washington Post will run a Woodward series highlighting different chapters of the book for a week getting a sales bump of 70 papers to their daily circulation; CNN will begin advertising the Woodward interviews in September with that serious journalist known as Chris Cuomo; and Chris Matthews will get another tingle down his leg when he reads his advance copy. Doesn’t this Democratic Party (now the Democratic Socialist Party) playbook get old? Not a very creative lot, maybe even MSNBC gets thrown a life line for Morning Joe and Woodward graces his show as a guest to support his high school auditorium national audience. Bob’s publicist and publisher is surely working overtime booking all the MSM networks.

We can expect Fear to feature many chapters on Russia, the collusion narrative and Bob Mueller and the 13, now 17, Angry Democrats (now Angry Democratic Socialists). Bob will lead with, “what did Trump know and when did he know it?” Bob will paint a picture of guilt by association with Trump’s global business ties leaving the reader to make their own damning conclusions. Mr. Woodward will likely paint a picture of racism over Charlottesville, immigration, The Wall and referring to Third World countries as shitholes. Expect a litany of attacks on Trump’s fitness for office by many anonymous sources including medical “professionals” in and around the Swamp. Let’s just say they will argue that President Trump is not a stable genius. This line of attack will be supported by how un-presidential Trump is by attacking the media, assigning nicknames and his use of Twitter bypassing the media. The book will feature family turmoil, Don Jr.’s divorce, Melania not happy in the White House, disgruntled cabinet officials that have been let go, etc. Lastly, Fear would be incomplete without Trump’s attacks on NATO, how he got played by North Korea and how tariffs are bad for America. Lots of false narratives for Mr. Woodward to repeat.

For presidential historians and the 62 million Americans that voted for President Trump, how the president responds to Fear will make this worth watching. As we all know by now, Trump has his own playbook that fully leverages 21^st century technologies in social media; he stays on offense countering false narratives; he takes the message directly to the people through rallies, Twitter, and daily press conferences; in a word, President Trump fights. While Fear and Mr. Woodward will get some initial headlines, it is also highly likely to get drowned out by what is 24 x 7 Trump hate. Another day, another batch of smug, arrogant, self-righteous elite liberals screaming about Trump.

The 53^rd Regiment assessment of Fear: One big Yawn, look for Fear in the used book bin. Pay no more than .50 cents.

The Swamp

While the Mainstream Media (MSM) outlets continue to focus on Trump’s imprecise remarks driven by his extemporaneous style while meeting with Putin in Helsinki, what perhaps is more alarming is the Deep State reveal of just how deep it really is. The 53rd Regiment is very much concerned about the merging of the intelligence profession with leftist political ideologies. The Intelligence Community (IC) by design is compromised of independent agencies organized around specialized capabilities to protect the interests of the United States. It is necessary for this work to be done in an apolitical environment. Watching former IC Directors publicly challenge the fitness of the President through MSM outlets and Twitter is unprecedented.

There appears to be a merger that has taken place in the Obama Administration where IC leaders ( Brennan, Clapper & Comey) lost their independence and tipped the scale heavily to support Hillary Clinton for President. Brennan, Clapper & Comey (BCC) not only tipped the scales, they became Intellicrats (Intelligence Agency Democrats) working events behind the scenes to get Trump. The release of the FISA warrant of Carter Page illustrates how phony the dossier is and what a hit job BCC put on to target Trump and his campaign. Without the fake dossier paid for by the Clinton Campaign assembled by a former British spy Christopher Steele and Fusion GPS, there was zero evidence that Carter Page was working for the Russians. (BTW is the 53rd Regiment the only news outlet bothered by the Democratic Campaign hiring a foreign spy?) Conveniently, the FISA court judge was never told the Clinton Campaign funded the dossier. With the FBI having concerns that the Russians were targeting Carter Page for recruitment, the first step is to warn him, not orchestrate a FISA warrant to collect on him! Now why would the FBI not warn him? The BCC Intellicrats know exactly why, this was about having the “insurance policy” Peter Strzok texted about to his FBI colleague. The pieces to this puzzle are in plain sight.

This Deep State reveal is actually scary. This whole investigation is looking more and more like a complete set-up to take down Trump. Yes, the Russians targeted our elections in 2016, but the greater threat to a free and fair election seems to have come from within.

One last thought we should explore. Why is the BCC and Deep State actors still going hard in vs the President? Why. What are they afraid might be revealed? We should think about this.

Whoopee Cushion

Before apps, video games, virtual reality and Pokemon go, previous generations enjoyed forms of entertainment that involved actual physical objects. This may be hard to believe but it’s true. An entertaining and jolly artifact of former times is something known as a whoopee cushion’.

Found in stores like Spencer Gifts, a place known for selling gag gifts and sometimes R rated items, the whoopee cushion was a rubber device that made a sound similar to human flatulence when quickly deflated – usually when someone unexpectedly sat on one. A prankster would secure a whoopee cushion, inflate it and then surreptitiously place it where the victim would be placing their derrière. As the victim sat down and the gaseous noise erupted, great laughter would erupt. Ahhh – the good old days.

But wait – there is a new Whoopee Cushion that has arrived, under a different spelling. It’s now called ‘Whoopi Goldberg’. The newer version is far more vulgar and explosive than the more innocent rubber version. New Whoopi explodes in unreasonable and fantastical liberal tirades with fake facts and intolerant accusations. Human Flatulence.

Whoopi ‘let loose’ on a superior foe, Judge Jeanine Pirro, on a recent episode of the brain inflammation known as ‘The View’. If you remember the Harpy scene from famous stop action film Jason and the Argonauts, you have seen the view. No need to tune in. Anyway, Whoopi harkened back to POTUS’s initial campaign announcement speech to claim he besmirched all Mexicans, among others. He did not. She held forth in hysterics. She made very smelly noise. The good Judge had to zing her with facts. Whoopi Cushion couldn’t handle it. She melted down. Stormed off. Told the Judge to leave. She exemplified Human Flatulence. Just a guess – but the notoriety of this incident is helping the Judge sell her new book too. So you might say in addition to the passing of wind, Whoopi Cushion also – how shall we say it delicately? – defecated on her own self! Yes. That’s it.

What we have here ladies and gentlemen is a smaller metaphor for the left in this nation. They have become their own religion of sorts, enforcing orthodoxy and compliance in a way that would make the Mullahs of the Islamic State blush. Toxic accusations, angry rhetoric, demonization, and hysteria are their currency. Like the house in the movie Polterguest, at the end of the story, all of the badness, the grotesqueness, the rottenness, and rancid foundations of it all are about to collapse in and implode. Keep watching. It is inevitable. The American people have become far more capable of detecting BS of late. It’s over for the Stalinist Left. As for Whoopi Cushion, get some air freshener and be prepared to occasionally light a candle to get the smell out of the room…….

Intervention: Earth

Have you ever seen the A&E show Intervention? The plot follows an addict of some sort, documents the negative effects on the individual and their loved ones, and then ultimately an ‘interventionist’ conducts a meeting in which the addict is confronted and offered the choice of rehab and redemption or isolation and rejection by the loved ones they have hurt. Tears, anger, and both good and bad choices follow.

Meet Donald J. Trump, interventionist for planet earth.

He began his therapeutic work in the US; you may remember some of the addicts he attempted to Help:

– Paul Ryan, addicted to swamp gas and pleasing the fake news: poor Paul who loves his humble Janesville roots forgot the working man long ago. Our Interventionist in Chief had to confront him loudly. Paul tried rehab but failed and can’t hang. He is resigning to cash in most likely.

Reince, Steve, the Mooch, Seanie and more, addicted to palace intrigue and in some cases, leaks: the first wash out class of Trump U played an important role: that being ‘someone had to do it’. In the end they could not be rehabbed and had to be locked out of the house. Interestingly all of them have been loyal. Hmmm.

– Mitch McConnell, addicted to swamp gas: Mitch has made amazing progress after a year of rehab personally coached by POTUS, who also employs Mitch’s wife. That’s leverage. Mitch will need constant reinforcement but he’s on a good path.

– Fake News Media, addicted to Fake News Heroin: this is an ongoing very public intervention, notably reinforced by POTUS yesterday morning in England: “you are very fake news” said to CNN. Sadly very fake news has chosen their heroin over the noble responsibilities of real journalism.

– Chuck, Nancy, Dick and Maxine, addicted to crack stupidity: another ongoing intervention, recently reinforced with POTUS musing publicly about Maxine’s low IQ: ‘I’d say 65, max!’ The subjects are deeply addicted. We may be beyond hope here.

– Hillary, delusional toxic swamp queen addicted to hate: she who declared much of her fellow citizens deplorable is beyond redemption but POTUS continues her public intervention by reminding his rally goers of her many mistakes and flaws. Lock her up indeed!

On to the crowd of global addicts!

– NATO, kleptomaniacs: POTUS confronted the kleptomaniacs this week and let them know last year’s intervention would continue. He lectured them in front of the world and got them to pay up for the protection they had been stealing for decades. They are now in the first days of rehab. Will we get regular rent payments or will they continue to spend on taking August off and 32 hour work weeks? ‘We’ll see what happens!’

– Germany and Angela, addicted to ‘we get everything we want for nothing’ cocaine. The Germans have solar panels and windmills everywhere subsidized by the billions while they gutted their armed forces after the Cold War. – European Union, addicted to unfettered US Market and having their own market blocked off from competition: these crack heads may get the hardest intervention and ass kicking because they ain’t even polite about what they are doing. Interventionist DJT is fixing to throw them out of rehab and lock them out of the house too.

– Chinese Kleptomaniacs: they are being offered rehab and they haven’t gotten it yet. ‘we’ll see what happens!’

– Rocket Man and No Ko, addicted to power in a very small slave state aka Meth-heads: biggest international intervention watched in real time by the planet: complete with mockery, open threats and displays of power that got Rocket Man into rehab. There will be ups and downs but so far Rocket Man seems to want to get off meth. ‘We’ll see what happens!’

– Canada, addicted to being Dopes: being on dope is tough. Just ask Justin who got a global head punch after the G-7. He doesn’t get it and will get more tough love.

– Mexico, addicted to a parasitic relationship with the US. The latest 5 year Presidente is a socialist but has showed some pragmatism. He’s not an addict yet. ‘We’ll see what happens!’ But he’d be smart to bargain for help raising living standards in MX and getting help with the cartels. Trump could help divert China business to MX.

– England, addicted to Europe/safety crack: the UK may have been motivated by thousands of years of wars with Europe to join the European Union. They got burned – again. POTUS had to go remind them publicly that we are their only friend despite the fact that we had to slap General Cornwallis and his boys many years ago. Big public intervention with Theresa May. ‘We’ll see what happens!’

OK. Enough! Do you see it? It’s a massive global intervention folks! Get off the crack! You might say that most of the globe is addicted to the past and conventional thinking. We are very glad an unconventional American billionaire is holding a massive intervention to get the planet on the path to redemption.

The Trump Rebellion

We are reminded this Independence Day that Americans are not afraid to be bold, to think big and to start a little rebellion now and then to right the course charted by our Founding Fathers. The Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution are America’s guide posts that remind all of us who we are, where we came from and most importantly, the journey we are on as Americans. We have been given much in the home of the brave and the land of the free. This we should remember and take the time to read our history to fully appreciate who we are as Americans.

Regarding “a little rebellion now and then,” against all odds the American citizenry elected Donald J. Trump, our 45th president. He was beyond a long shot in the pollster universe, he had zero shot. But Americans don’t listen to pollsters or the media much for that matter, they vote with their minds, their wallets and their hearts. Trump is an unabashed proud American. After eight years of President Obama apologizing to the world about America the heartland, the south and the west had enough of it. Hillary Clinton, besides her penchant for lying, she was a true swamp creature made rich by lobbyists and establishment democrats. Trump on the other hand, an outsider that said what he thought, built his business the hard way and just wins. Americans love underdogs and Americans love winners. Trump is the 1980 US Olympic Hockey team, an iconic winner.

So this Independence Day we are celebrating the Trump rebellion and victory reminding all Americans, especially the Democrats, who America is and what we stand for. Who are these Americans?

Americans are an independent people that cherish freedom and their individual liberty.
Americans are patriots that serve their country in times of war and meld back into the landscape when the job is done.
Americans are generous and share their fortunes out of love and helping their fellow countrymen (or the world) not because the government directs it but because we believe in goodwill toward men.
Americans love the outdoors, love fishing, hunting, driving their cars and just taking in all God’s wonder.
Americans love sports, love competition, love to compete and love to win.
Americans are risk takers, creators and innovators.
Americans think big and execute boldly.
Americans love God, practice their faith and believe we are endowed by our Creator.
Americans don’t make excuses, hold each other accountable and support one another.
Americans love the 4th of July, love our flag and love our country.

The Trump rebellion this 4th of July is worth celebrating reminding all America’s citizens what a proud, independent people we are and that the 2016 presidential election was our Independence Day from the Swamp, the political class and the vestiges of power hungry bureaucrats !

Innocent people in poor countries are fleeing economic plight to find better opportunities in America not legally, but illegally. Under these circumstances, the democrats are not only putting the lives of women and children trying to make it to America at great risk by empowering criminal elements, they are failing to enforce our laws endangering their fellow Americans while calling for open borders and the elimination of ICE. Seventeen years removed from the attacks of September 11th, the irresponsible leadership of the Democratic Party (Sen. Schumer, Congresswoman Pelosi and Congresswoman Maxine Waters) are inviting lawlessness through their false narratives about illegal immigration. Plenty of hypocrisy is always on the table for our leftist friends. It’s a hypocrisy buffet table right now and it’s hard to know where to start. How about right at the top?

Pope Francis:

The pontiff likes to weigh in on many issues to include the environment, migrants, migrants, migrants, war, peace and migrants.

What does the Pontiff not weigh in on? Bad governments in Mexico, Venezuela, the Palestinian Authority, Syria, Iran, and other places. These are the root causes for the migrant crisis. Who better to speak truth to power than the Pope? I guess it’s easier to scream at the American President and anyone else that would attempt to protect civilized society from the clear risks of open borders, with the Leftist Mob Media as supporting Greek Chorus.

Francis, if you take on the these governments and speak clearly, you’ll be far more credible. Your predecessor John Paul II went to Poland and spoke of truth and hope. He facilitated the fall of communism with clarity. ‘Be not afraid…!’ Stop complaining around the periphery (migrants) of the real issue (tyranny). Take on the bad guys, and stop blaming the good guys for wanting security.

The latest amusing hypocrisy is the accusation that Trump ‘legitimized’ Kim Jong Un, aka Rocket Man, by meeting with him. Like a flock of braying jackasses the likes of Morning Schmoe Scarborough, Chris Matthews and the other D grade regulars like Brian Stelter and Shepard Smith are all claiming that the meeting was a failure and we got nothing. It’s a fake news/hypocrisy soufflé! Obama met with the Castro brothers, socialized with them, and sent his dopey emissary John Kerry to do the hip bump with the despots in Iran. Not a peep out of the Leftist Mob Media; in fact they celebrated both of these disasters.

American Catholic Bishops

This crowd of weaklings just had a group meeting to weigh in on everything except their declining flocks in their home dioceses. Among their fat headed ideas was using the ‘canonical’ processes of the church to punish those involved with implementing the United States’ immigration policies. Of course this means not doing so in accordance with their one sided view of the same. Soooooooooo – you would do what? Deny communion to Catholic politicos based on their actions? Or border agents? Excommunicate them? Once again, instead of focusing on the root problem – tyranny for example by the Mexican Drug Cartels, Mexican government, and the related poverty south of the border, we have bandwagon leftist prelates deciding to make dopey idol threats for the media to propagate. They are useful idiots for the Leftist Mob Media, which most of the time mocks the very faith they are pledged to evangelize.

Remember the Diceman? It was the late 80’s when he hit the comedy scene and it went crazy. His act was a series of R rated send-ups of popular nursery rhymes not to be repeated here. They went as viral as something could at the time. A friend of mine sent me a VHS tape of his show when I was stationed in Germany. That tape got passed around to dozens of other lieutenants and some of their wives threatened to do me bodily harm as I was the known source.

The Diceman disrupted comedy at the time – like it or not.

Enter the Diceman 2.0 known as Donald J. Trump, now POTUS. DJT is disrupting the tired and ossified political structures in place since the post WW2 period. DJT’s social similarities to the vulgar Diceman are well documented – so no need to elaborate on the details – but let’s start there.

DJT is direct, sometimes bombastic and decidedly coarse. Ironically those he offends most and are most likely to scream about his offenses, also routinely defend the worst content Hollywood culture has to offer in terms of glorification of drugs, smoking (pot), sex of any kind, extreme gun violence and on and on. “Yes I have dreamed of bombing the Whitehouse” says a certain woman known for extreme vulgarity and mocking the Catholic church regularly.

What do disruptors really do? The acronym VUCA was born and popularized by the Army War College shortly after 9/11; it stands for volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous. Into VUCA environments come disruptors and it is there that they thrive. We certainly exist in a VUCA environment today. Technology, social norms, major religions, large institutions of all kinds – almost everything is up for grabs in terms of where it might go and how it might evolve – or not survive.

DJT is incorrectly called a populist. This is wrong. Or as DJT might write: ‘WRONG!’. The stale ‘old media’ mistook the large rallies, fun and entertaining rhetoric, potshots, accusations of bias and the tagline ‘Make America Great Again’ as old school populism. Nope. That is Diceman 2.0 breaking through media noise. Newt Gingrinch wrote a perfect analysis of it months ago.

Here are a few of the disruptions:

Calling out the fallacy of free trade that elitists do not get and seemingly can’t. Trade is free when all of us are playing by the same rules. We can enforce that in our own country. However – many countries have governments and businesses that collude. Many countries have nothing called free trade or the laws and civil society to support it. Those who enabled them to compete against us under easier constraints were naïve at best and grossly negligent at worst. Meaning every president since and including Nixon and their teams.
Overwhelmingly liberal bias in the old media. (I won’t call them ‘Main Stream’). It took running for president in my estimation for DJT to finally see how bad it was. After all he had thrived in the industry that now calls him Satan for decades. Once he declared his positions they spit him out like a watermelon seed. What did he do? He called them out with the kind of ferocity they hadn’t ever seen – and continues to. They are so far beyond self-awareness that they are incapable of any course correction. We now have a president that talks back and is NEVER passive. Disruptive.
Speed: last 7 days are self evident. This 70 year old outworks everyone around him and definitely the tired drag asses in congress. Impressive and even Jeb must be thinking DJT was right in calling him ‘low energy’
The Forgotten Man/Forgotten Women: I know them. I’ve known factory workers my entire career and been on staff in a factory that was closed and been part of closing several. I do not believe there has ever been a president –with the possible exception of Teddy Roosevelt – that connected with blue collar America (and disrupted/outsourced/offshored America) like DJT. In his career he knew them. He led them. He managed them. He employed them. He understood them. All the elites could do is speak down to them from both major parties because they didn’t get them and didn’t much care. As jobs left us en masse, the republican offered tough love: ‘get retrained’ and the democrats offered food stamps and platitudes: ‘you’ve been screwed by the rich’. No. They were screwed by jackass politicians that gave away the store.
Tweets and social media: he used social sites better than anyone in the media, any other politician, maybe better than anyone period. Political class were caught flatfooted and still are.
Disregard for convention: as a business person, DJT is the ultimate get it done guy – that one employee or soldier you know can piss everyone off but usually gets results. He doesn’t care about how it was done before. The Whitehouse correspondants are learning this now.

Those are just a few. More to come. Where does this all go? For us conservatives, as Guardian 6 has said, ‘Its like Christmas…each morning: tweets in our stockings and battles with big libs for our presents!’ Indeed G-6. Indeed. Sometimes disruptors get tiresome. Diceman faded for a while but I am happy to see he’s back playing Vegas and has a reality show. Will DJT tweet himself into trouble? Will he deeply offend an ally of the US? Will he simmer down once his major programs are in place? Will he get so much done that he hands the reigns over the VP after the first term? Its just hard to say with a disruptor. I will say this: for the first time since Reagan, a guy I can say gets me and I get him is running the show. He’s in a vastly different package – a major NYC wise guy. And he’s disrupting all the right disruptees.

I do whatever I do. I go to the club. I work on material. While other people are sleeping, I’m awake. I always liked that.

What Would Frank Rizzo do…

That quote from Mayor Rizzo, likely the best Mayor in Philadelphia’s long and storied history, a larger than life tough guy, captures what you might call a ‘woke moment’ these days. We need more of them. Sports teams and players are saying and doing stupid things.

President Trump uninvited the few remaining Eagles to the White House after most of the Eagles organization dropped out of the event with late notice. This prompted diminutive current Philly Mayor Jim Kenney to call President Trump a fragile egomaniac. Trump is many things. Fragile isn’t one of them. Jim Kenney? Much more fragile than most. Egomaniac? Show me one politician that isn’t. Kenney went on to call Sarah Sanders a liar, using this moment to earn maximum suck up points with the Liberal Media Complex. Sad little guy is looking for his moment but he will never be half the man Rizzo was.

The Eagles: you’ve disappointed many with this nonsense and yes it is your fault, going right up to your smarmy leftist owner. You brought it on yourselves.

The NFL: it’s going to be over soon.

President Trump: good call and the right call.

And what would the great Frank Rizzo do and say if he were here?

Frank may have been the last law and order Democrat. He had the courage to endorse Richard Nixon during his first mayoral term. He didn’t suck up like Kenney. He called it like he saw it.

What would he see here? He’d see disgrace and call it out. The disgrace of the Eagles ownership and leadership. The disgrace of the NFL allowing disrespect for our anthem for an entire season. He’d call out all involved as punks and crumbums. Because that’s exactly what they are. Spoiled. Entitled. Clueless. Liberal. Out of touch. Elitist. Takers. And yes, crumbums. And he might even threaten to take them each on and punch them out one by one. And he likely could have done it.

We need more Frank Rizzo’s these days.
